Internationally acclaimed tap dancer, musician and choreographer, Aurélien Lehmann is a leading figure of the contemporary Tap Dance.
He is the author, composer and choreograph of musical shows (Tap Virtuoso, Back to Tap, Rhythm Fire...). His unique and contemporary style combines the elegance of «Broadway» and the technical and musical virtuosity of the «Hoofers» (improvising tap dancers).
Musician (pianist, singer and accordionist), improviser and choreographer, Musician (pianist and accordionist), improviser and choreographer, this multi-talented showman reveals the true essence of Tap Dancing as an instrument of musical interpretation, on a repertoire mixing classical music and jazz with maestria. Athletic and poetic, his charisma impresses audiences in the most prestigious productions and venues.
His last show, TAP VIRTUOSO, was recently pre- miered at Theatre du Châtelet in Paris, the temple of musical-related shows in France (2200 seats). In this show, Aurélien Lehmann performs classical music masterpieces from Bach to Gershwin, accompanied by world renowned pianist François-René Duchâble (alternating with Eric Artz). A unique visual and musical performance that will make you (re)discover the history and evolution of classical music to the rhythm of Tap Dance.

Encouraged in 1973 by Arthur Rubinstein to embark on a career as a soloist, François-René DUCHABLE was invited by major international groups: the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Philharmonic, the National Orchestra of France, the Montreal Symphony, the Orchester de Paris, the Orchester Philharmonique de Radio France, the Rotterdam Philharmonic, the Orchester de la Suisse Romande, the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, the National Orchestra of Belgium, the Maggio Fiorentino, the Festival Orchestra de Budapest, the NHK Orchestra of Tokyo etc ... under the direction of conductors such as Karajan, Chung, Dutoit, Jordan, Gardiner, Herreweghe, Sawallisch, Janowski, Plasson, J. Nelson, Semkov,, Svetlanov, Temirkanov, I. Fischer , A.Lombard, G. Herbig, J.Cl.Casadesus, and Th.Gushlbauer.
Thirty years of concerts in the temples of music have earned him public recognition and prestigious musical awards: numerous Chocs du Monde de la Musique, Diapasons d'Or and five Victoires de la Musique. His recordings have been praised both by the public and by Critics: Chopin's “Vingt-quatre Études”, Liszt's “Douze Études Transcendantes”, Beethoven's Sonatas, Ravel's Concertos, and the release of a DVD and of a CD devoted to Beethoven's five concertos, which won the Victoires de la Musique in February 2004.
Having left the international stages in 2003, François-René Duchâble continued his activity as a pianist for 15 years.
He gave around 750 shows in different forms mainly in the company of the actor Alain Carré, but also by providing the musical part of pyrotechnic, equestrian or sports shows (synchronized swimming or figure skating), this in many unusual places and in the open air. .
Since his final withdrawal from the scene in 2018, François-René Duchâble exceptionally accepts to participate in a few projects. This is why he lends his support to this show for families with Aurélien Lehmann.
